Ryan Thomas is a Director of Photography who has shot all over the world, from a small boat off the coast of Panama to bustling cities in India. He started his career as a lighting technician and gaffer, spending over 10 years in IATSE Local 728.

His dedication led him to work on notable productions such as Veep, New Girl, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Terminator: Genisys, collaborating closely with esteemed ASC Cinematographers and Gaffers to refine his craft.

Now a member of the International Cinematographers Guild and was recently accepted to the ASC Vision Mentorship Program. He’s had films play at Sundance, Slamdance, Cinequest, and many other notable festivals across the country.

Outside of the film he’s become deeply interested in Lean Manufacturing, leading him to create many products to allow production to move faster and more efficiently.
